First up, the Kevin Dorsey composition, 'Na-Da Blues' which is a swingin' uptempo semi-blues progression
that features fine interplay between guitar, flute and Kevin's bass. 'Alita,' the second cut written by
Bob Piorun for his wife has a classic jazz ballad melody and features the warm tenor sax of my favorite,
John Kane. 'Urban Blight' by James Best has a cool and funky feel reminiscent of some of the black exploitation
flicks of the early 70's. 'The Key,' another Kevin Dorsey tune is a love song with a bittersweet flavor that
is quite haunting.
'My Sun is Gone,' is a collaboration between Bob and lyricist Lisa Martino. A fine melody and realistic set
of lyrics are very convincingly delivered by the fabulous Cookie Coogan. 'Warm Winds' is an infectious bossa
nova written by John Kane (with help from wife Kathy) and Bob Piorun. It's very cool and the sax solo is
classic "Killer Kane." Kevin Dorsey supplies 'The Nifster,' an uptempo Latin flavored piece with a driving
bass and flute-led melody. The final cut, 'Until I See You Again' ends the set with Bob and Kevin on
acoustic guitar and bass.
